The day was classy, charming and full of Danielle's giggle anywhere that she went! Both Rick and Danielle have unbelievable smiles and we saw not only the smiles but the bursts of laughter as we walked around St. Paul snapping photos...they are truly made for each other! :)
I *adored* this moment. Danielle and Rick opted not to see each other before the ceremony, therefore, when Danielle entered the room with her Dad she HAD to take a quick glance at the alter where Rick was standing! :)
My fave...
Their St. Paul hotel reception was classy and beautiful! They chatted the night away with friends and played cards until all hours of the night with family....what better way to spend your wedding day? :)
Walking around the gorgeous grounds of Camrose Hill Farm with them on their big day was nothing short of fun....real smiles, passionate kisses and giggling moments are spontaneous between the two and they are the most laid back couple in this world. Surrounded with their closest family and friends the day was just a *perfect* way to start their new life as husband and wife!
The backdrop of this gorgeous wedding was gardens, sculptures, old bed frames, billowing trees, old barns, and flowers flowers flowers galore.....I only dream of living in a space like this.

It certainly is *very cool* that Jake serves as an active Marine! I was thrilled that he chose to wear his dressed blues and show off how stellar he is in that uniform---hats off to Jake for being a Marine and serving our country!!

*this moment made my day!*
And everyone knows that I can't resist the golden rays of light at sunset...... :)
Emily - I am speechless. That does it, when the other two get married I'm flying to in to be our photographer! Erin and Jake's wedding day was truly so special and now to relive it through your photo's is nothing short of wonderful!

(09.10.09 @ 9:02AM)Hello all you Chabollas, past and present. Cindy, how did we know when I came to visit just after Erin was born that we would be here at this point in our time knowing each other. I still have the pictures of us in the airport and I am telling Erin goodbye, holding the little girl, and then the years later when they all three came to see me in Arkansas. Sunny looks great. I found her in one of the pictures. God has blessed both of us with our families. Love to all, Montez. I will figure out how to do pictures on facebook, hopefully so I can share with you Chabollas and Nelsons. (if you want to send hints, please do)

Thank you for being you! Love Ang
(09.25.09 @ 11:43PM)
We caught up with the girls getting beautiful at the salon downtown...
And Tira's Dad was adorable when he first saw her...he literally burst into tears! :) How cute!!

Job and his BFF's being themselves...
This is probably one of my *most favorite* wedding party things we have ever done! Kudos to the wedding party for going along with my crazy idea....
love the colors, love the flip flops and bikes, what a memorable day! And that photographer-they don't come any better, do they?!
(09. 8.09 @ 6:37PM)LOVE That tandem shot! I love the whole bike theme, and how you captured it!
(09. 8.09 @ 10:27PM)LOVE That tandem shot! I love the whole bike theme, and how you captured it!
(09. 8.09 @ 10:27PM)Crazy FUN color palette! Awesome!
(09.10.09 @ 7:47PM)I absolutely love the rainbow-theme concept. The effect really worked well with the bridal party standing next to them at the ceremony.
Looks like a fun, fun group of people!
Great shots, as always, Emily.
(09.14.09 @ 12:29PM)I knew that we were going to have a good time when Josiah took it upon himself to make faces at Kira in an attempt to get her to smile....as you can see she wanted NONE OF IT at the time. :)
The things you do to make a little girl laugh......
These are precious!
(08.28.09 @ 9:49AM)

(09. 6.09 @ 5:43PM)I was a part of one HECK of an AMAZING EVENT this weekend! Me, along with 2500 other men and women, walked 60 miles through Minneapolis and St. Paul to make a darn bold statement that we believe that there can be a world without breast cancer. Our team of 7 amazing women, dressed in head to toe pink, got up bright and early and started our journey last Friday to make our mark on history.
I didn't really fathom how FAAARRRR 60 miles really is. UM.....SIXTY MILES......it is FAR! Very far.
BUT the thing that inspired me throughout the event was the amount of support that came out to not only cheer us on but thank us for walking. At each cheering station and each family on the side of the road dancing, clapping or handing out candy I started to realize the mass community that comes together to not only participate in the event but support it. I got teary-eyed seeing the Dad's holding their kids (dressed in pink) giving everyone high fives as the walkers passed, and the Cancer survivors on the side of the road with expressions of gratitude for helping them fight, and the groups of families that came together to support their loved one who are representing their heritage and generations to come. Gol, it was just awesome!!!

We stayed in a lovely mobile city of pink. With inspiration surrounding us we ate amazing food, stayed in tiny pink tents (and froze our buns off), and bonded while popping our blisters through the night! :)
We all nearly peed our pants walking through the cheering stations and seeing people's creativity with signs and posters....
We are strong because the journey demands it.
Together in body and united in spirit we lay down our footsteps for this generation and the next. This is our promise: a world without breast cancer!"
This is why I walked:

and aches and pains I would do it all over again. The reality is that my pains will be gone before her cancer is and cancer is an everyday battle while I only walked for 3 days.....I saw a sign that put it plainly BLISTERS DON'T NEED CHEMO!
So....next year....2010 anyone????
emily, you are amazing!!
(08.25.09 @ 9:05PM) absolutely amazing! I will do it again and again and again...until breast cancer is no more!! despite the blisters and the pain of walking 60 miles I can get up the next day and look forward to many more to come, when there are others that can't. that alone is enough reason for me to raise the money and walk, because there is no other option! because i want to make a difference.
and that little girl in the pink sunglasses that is my reason to walk! i love you Bean!!
Awesome job girls! Em, your mom would be so proud of you! I know I am!
(08.25.09 @ 9:43PM)i barely have words.
So proud of you.
So emotional for the journey that you went on this past weekend as you walked.
incredible, friend. increrdible.
Miss Emily! Wow - you so eloquently captured our journey and the reason we came, fought back against breast cancer, the cancer that has taken so many too early, the ones we love, we misss, but have faith we will see again one day, just not today. So we fight in their memory, for ourselves today, and for our daugthers for the future! What a life-changing event, I'm honored they let a schmuck like me be a part of something so great! We kicked some royal boobies this weekend, girls! Gooooooooo, Team Jigglies!
(08.25.09 @ 10:13PM)WOW EM!!!!! You did it!!! And you ARE changing to world, even if you don't know it!! Congratulations! I am VERY VERY proud of you!!! And I know a few other people who are looking down on you that feel the same way!!!
(08.25.09 @ 10:27PM)So awesome that you did this and the photos give me goosebumps. We hosted a few out of town walkers and I attended the closing ceremonies and wow, how inspirational and awe-inspiring and sad and awesome and amazing. I don't think I got any of your team but I posted some photos from the ceremony here if you want to take a peek or add to your collection. :)
(08.25.09 @ 10:28PM)Congrats on walking and helping fight breast cancer! The pictures are great and your memories are treasures. Thank you for walking on behalf of so many. I'll be praying for your quick healing! Blessings to you all Team Jigglies!
(08.26.09 @ 6:33AM)I have tears running down my cheeks just reading your words Emily, and I was there!!! You are truly inspiring, and you never gave up... not once! You fought to the end of the 60 miles, and I KNOW there are so many that are so proud of you! You, and the rest of the Jigglies are truly AMAZING! Thank you for the memories, and for capturing them in such an inspiring way! We walked because we could. We fought because we could. We'll do it again because we can. We'll make a BOLD statement about this ugly disease, and because we walked... we are 3 days closer to finding that cure!! WAY TO GO JIGGLIES!! :)
(08.26.09 @ 7:20AM)Emily..you ARE amazing. I have lost too many friends to breast cancer and this is so uplifting to me. Tell me how to train for next year and I'm there...!
(08.26.09 @ 7:35AM)Fantastic photos! I love reading about everyone's experience during The 3 Day. This year was my 5th year participating and my best friend and I drove one of the sweep vans that probably annoyed the heck out of you with the horn and cowbell. :) Love hearing that you're ready to go in 2010!!! THANK YOU FOR WALKING!
(08.26.09 @ 8:28AM)I love your photos, i cried when i looked at them. I walked in Michigan. I don't have any personal reasons for walking except that I love being part of something bigger than myself and doing good for others. I salute all our fellow walkers and crew and thank them because together, we will make a difference. Thanks for an inspirational post.
(08.26.09 @ 8:39AM)Amazing photos! I'll be walking for the first time this October in DC. Seeing your pictures has given me a brand new sense of excitement. I can't wait!
(08.26.09 @ 8:58AM)Thank you for the great blog! I was working Pit Stop 3 this year so do not get to see the route very much. I am walking in Phoenix, AZ in November and am really excited to experience the 3 day from a walker perspective!
(08.26.09 @ 8:58AM)thank you for sharing these beautiful photos. you truly have a gift. looking through these brought tears to my eyes and reiterated why we do what we do. i walked in 2008 but will be too pregnant to walk this year. i'll be back in on the sidewalks clapping everyone along this year, and back in the sneakers next year. :) good luck to you!
(08.26.09 @ 9:02AM)Terrific Pictures. Congratulations on the journey. I have walked 2 years in Philly. Sitting this one out, but I will be there to get lots of pictures and show my support!!
(08.26.09 @ 9:06AM)YEAH!! I drove a sweep van that weekend (the baseball van) and it was one of the best walks to date. Great photos, great story--hope to see you next year! : )
(08.26.09 @ 9:16AM)AWESOME PICTURES! I am a first time walker in October in Atlanta this year - so your pictures are inspiring and makes it REAL to me! My mom and I are doing it together to celebrate her 10 year anniversary of being diagnosed with breast cancer! I can't wait!!!
(08.26.09 @ 9:16AM)Emily...congrats on walking and thanks for sharing some fantastic photos. This is my third time walking (DC, Oct 9-11) and my fourth event. I'm blessed to be able to participate and to have my life touched by so many fantastic stories of hope and courage. See you in DC or at Pit 3 in Arizona (crewing there for the first time this year!) or on the route in San Diego (I make a good cheerleader too!). God Bless...
(08.26.09 @ 9:22AM)Great job!! I love your photos and thoughts on the experience!! I was at Pit Stop 4 in my ears and bunny tail!! I loved seeing all the walkers, especially those that were challenged by the route, but carried by their enthusiasm and shear power of the supporters! I will be back walking next year but my experience of Crewing came me even more understanding of all it takes to empower the walkers!!
(08.26.09 @ 9:34AM)I am so proud of you. I am a 6 month breast cancer survivor!!! I was on Pit stop 5 Last year and on traffic safety this year( orange shirts) Mlps, Amazing how I got to benifit from your walk. I qualified for a new test that has just been available in the last 6 months. So THANK YOU FOR WALKING FOR A CURE!!!!!!! I can't wait till next year!!! caringbridge.org/visit/tamaraevans
I was also a walker in the Twin Cities. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photography. You captured the feeling and emotion of the weekend in your pictures. As your blog said Blisters Don't Need Chemo.
(08.26.09 @ 10:01AM)Great photos Emily. I was also a sweep van driver (M*A*S*H Your Mammaries) and it is nice to see the parts of the walk that we miss from the road. I was a walker last year. Everyone at the 3-Day rocks. Hope to see more of your photos in the future. I'm going to start looking for a striped umbrella.

(08.26.09 @ 10:35AM)Your pictures are amazing! They definitely capture this event perfectly. I'm 17 and I'll be participating in my second 3day this October, where I'll be apart of the opening/closing ceremonies holding the "grandmother" flag in honor of her 30+ years of survival.
I think we all can agree that this is a life changing event, and I'm honored to walk among so many amazing people who lay down their footsteps and say enough is enough.
:)
(08.26.09 @ 11:01AM)I am getting ready to do the 3 day in October in Atlanta with my daughter, this is my 10 year annv of being breast cancer free what better way to celebrate.
(08.26.09 @ 11:14AM)Thanks for a wonderful blog! You have done an amazing job of capturing the experience for all of us 3Dayers. I'm a 2007 & 2009 Seattle walker. I hope you don't mind if I send a few people a link to your blog to help them better understand what a great experience this is!

(08.26.09 @ 1:36PM)Emily, this are beautiful photos that tell an amazing story for an event that is always hard for me to put into words. This was my second walk and I will continue to walk until I know my nieces, and all other girls and women, will never hear the words "you have breast cancer." I'll see you next year!
(08.26.09 @ 8:18PM)Amazing photo's - thanks for capturing. This was my 6th 3-Day event - this year as route safety. I have walked 4 times and now crewed 2 times. I'm signed up to crew again in 2010. (08.27.09 @ 7:17AM)Emily these photos are wonderful! We (your cousins and auntie Char) were so proud of you and all the Jigglies. Thanks for walking for all people who have suffered and for future people who will hopefully have a cure. Love you!
(08.29.09 @ 7:27PM)I love your photos they are amazing. This year will be my first year doing the 3-Day and I'm excited. AZ CREW '09!!!
(08.30.09 @ 10:49PM)Your blog is amazing and does a wonderful job of capturing the 3-day experience. This was my first 3-day experience and I too walked in the Twin Cities. It was amazing and often, I struggle to relate what the experience is feels like to others. I do have a question...some of my photos did not turn out. I was using my sister's camera and apparently wasn't taking photos at times I thought I was. I was curious if you have a link to a site where friends could purchase copies of your 3-day photos? If so, I would love to have that link. I hope to put together (with help from a good friend) a slide show of sorts to share with my friends/family/donors. Thanks for any help!
(08.31.09 @ 9:17AM)Thank you for posting the pictures. I am a 3 yr survivor and walked for the first time with my sister and best friend in the Twin Cities. It was an expierence I will never forget. The pictures bring back alot of memories. I will get my pictures out there and do the same thing that you did as soon as I figure out how to do. Thank you and Great Job!!!! Tracey
