Its my new blog. New look. New business cards. New everything. And I want to climb a large hill and scream that “it is here” from atop.
I went through a series of “AHHH-HAAAS” over the past year both personally and as a business woman. I looked over my goals, since I am a crazy goal focused person, and realized that my entire business path has changed. I reinvented and re-wrote my goals and dreams as a photographer, wife, friend and woman….and this is what I kept coming to over and over. Something simple. Something that is about beauty. This new brand is consistent and I know that it reflects me and my work.
One of the main reasons why I love being a photographer and small business owner is that I get to not only create amazing art out of people’s most precious memories, but it also leaves me time to sew, knit, craft, garden and spend time with the people I adore the most. To live the life I want to…the life I dream of. Hopefully this new blog will harbor some of the thoughts that come along side my life…not just about photography but about my life, my goals and my dreams!
I have to give major high fives to Ms. Amy Squires from the Wedding Chicks for helping me focus in on my vision and goals as a wedding photographer. She chatted, challenged me and gave me some “work” to do while finding new direction. And props to Krista from Papered Together Letterpress and Dena for her perfect design work on the FAB collateral pieces! Doesn’t letterpress just melt your heart??
OH—and that fabulous photo above of yours truly was taken by the fabulous Tasha Herrgott of Red Bird Hills. More to come on that later! :)
