Their intimate wedding ceremony led way to a larger party upstairs at the St. James hotel as guests were greeted with hugs from the bride and groom and a tower of delish cupcakes at the reception! Hattie's details were wonderful with her purple, ivory and brown color palette and custom truffle boxes for guests as they left the party! She was even thrifty enough to find her designer Sophia Tolli wedding gown on craigslist for half the price of retail! :) I was impressed! :)
Every guest grinned ear to ear as they got greeted by Hattie and Dave at the reception doors---their love was contagious and their personalities perfect for each other! :)

My *favorite* part of the night is when we went over (across the hall) to Jimmy's Pub where Hattie and Dave had their first date almost 2 years ago to the day! :) We just HAD to snap a few at "the table" where they first laid eyes on one another! :)

Alright friends, I realize I have been MIA from the blogging front for awhile and I promise I have a reason for that! :) Not only was I in Chicago for a week (more to come on that later), but I ventured off to the wonderland of Southern California to meet up with some of the most stylish, rad and down-right nicest peeps in the wedding industry. Chenin Boutwell along side with the Wedding Chicks hosted, what I wholeheartedly believe, to be the best workshop on the planet. Not only were they laying all the cards on the table to answer our deepest, darkest questions, but they brought encouragement, education and tons of clarity to me! :) And for that I am sooo soo thankful! Be prepared to see some great changes from me in 2010....changes that will rock! Guaranteed! :) If any of you had been watching the news last week you have heard the sheer mess of rain that So Cal was getting......and despite my best efforts to chant to the sun gods for their golden rays to come out...it wasn't happening. It was friggin' El Nino producing tornado like winds and dumping monsoon amounts of rain on the poor state. None-the-less we rocked out a shoot with a bride and groom as soon as the clouds parted and also "OOooo'ed and awwweee'd" over the awesome reception set up that Angel Swanson poured over!
The details were *off the charts* for the reception set up! I LOOVEED this....
And another high five award goes out to these awesome vendors! :)

(02.15.10 @ 9:20PM)I am going to take just a small moment to brag about how fabulously awesome our couples and clients are; and never has this been more evident than as I sit here looking through all of their beautiful smiles and recap just how perfect each and every wedding was this year! Not only is each couple totally in love and thrilled to be getting married but they are *hands down* the most fun, photogenic, and happy clients around! :)

Our receptions this year could also have been nominated for parties of the year...live bands, bonfires, props, photobooths......our receptions were hoppin'.....
Happy New Year......I wish you all many smooches, hugs and new memories at Mr and MRS in 2010! :)The pictures look great Emily! I'm hoping to get my new website up and running in 2010, and hopefully get some more business. Congrats on all of your success this last year! I hope it continues for many years to come. :o)

Apparently it is hard to smooch with a giant schnoz like that! WHO KNEW!?!?!? :)
Happy Marriage you 2 love birds! You were both lovely and stunning and gosh-darn it MADLY in love and it was a joy to be at your wedding! :)
Despite the monsoon we had gotten the week prior and the few sprinkles that lasted the morning of their wedding day....nothing was going to stop them from celebrating their head over heals love for one another!! Their day was perfect. With the vows at their childhood church and the celebration ending at the GORGEOUS Rochester Country Club both the guests and the bridal party celebrated with the newlyweds as they shared their first night at MR and MRS! :)
This moment between Michelle and her Dad right before walking down the isle makes my heart melt... :)

I go way back with Jessica and recently we have reunited our friendship because we have both been through the loss of a parent and have found kinship in one anothers story....so, needless to say this day was extremely special for me to be a part of! :) Jessica and Chad laugh together, they have fun together but more importantly they are undoubtedly madly in love for one another and it is obvious. The way they look into each other's eyes and smile at one another is perfect and perfectly shares who they are to the other one....it was great to catch glimpses of this as the ceremony unfolded.
The venue offers an eclectic, lodge-antique feel with amazing food, staff and decor and it was just the perfect place for Jessica and Chad to exchange vows.
"CAN YOU BELIEVE I AM GETTING MARRIED TODAY!?!?! WAAAHHHH!!!"
The reception was intimate, personal and simply beautiful....along with some of the funniest toasts I have ever heard....
Beautiful pics from an amazing, lovely day! Thanks Emily!!
